new pain, 7 1/2 wks post op

i woke up a couple nights ago almost in tears because of pain in my abdomen just above my pelvic bone. felt like a burning sensation. it eased up but is back again. it almost feels like my insides are tearing apart but its also affecting where i believe my vaginal cuff is. i cant cross my legs when sitting or anything. when i do it feels like something is tugging on my cuff and my insides at the same time. i have an appointment tuesday for 8 wk checkup. still had all my stitches at 4 wks and doc applied silver nitrate. im not released for sex or anything yet. im going to call the doc in the morning and see if she can get me in 2mrw because i am terrified. i shouldnt still be hurting like this. its extreme enough that its making me nauseaus. has anyone else experienced this? i also have swelling in my belly still and am staying tired.

Sorry you are having pain. I hope you are able to get into the doctor early. I did not have the pain but I did have an unhealed vaginal cuff and had to have the nitrate a couple of times.

Let us know how you do and what the doctor says.

Burning pain across your pubic bone can also be your bladder. Do you have a fever? Painful urination? Any other symptoms of a UTI?

Were you able to get in to see your doctor?

Re: new pain, 7 1/2 wks post op

went to the doctor. turns out i have a massive bladder infection and the tugging is because my vaginal cuff isnt healed. at 4 weeks still had all my stitches.. this time she said i have granulation and scar tissue. she gave me an antibiotic for the bladder and some estrogen cream to use in my vagina for 4 weeks to try to get the soft tissue to heal. she also scraped and cauterized it in office that day very painful. she said if im not healing right by my next visit, in 4 weeks, that i would have to have an outpatient surgery to remove the scar tissue and resew my cuff!! im not looking forward to that at all! so 4 more weeks at least of no sex etc.. hoping i heal soon. thank yall for the concern

(((auburnamy)))

It sure isn't fun to have complications, is it?!

in there and hopefully the antibiotics will clear up the bladder infection and with your body not fighting infection it will be able to let your vaginal cuff heal, too!
