Bladder spasm or infection&flu/ 8 days post-op

I have been enjoying the easy time I have had, until now.... In the last 24 hours I have felt the worst of the entire process... I am having issues with my bladder and I have a touch of the stomach flu or so the Gyn. thinks...

I feel a sense of both tingling and tightness while I am urinating. It borders on the way an infection feels, I did notice some bright red blood on the TP and I have had NO blood the entire time, did I loosen a stitch internally from the sling? The Urologist wants a sample, so I will ride to the lab in the AM and he will check for an infection. He thinks it is an infection and I am not feeling the pain due to the surgeries and everything done down there, something may be temporarily numb.,

To top that off I have had diarrhea and cramps since last night and I called the Gyn. and he says he has had 10 patients call in today with vomiting and diarrhea. If I have to have 1 then I would prefer the bottom end., I can not imagine vomiting with this incision....

I have no fever.... It is just weird to feel great for 1 week then start to feel crappy this long after surgery.

Anyone else having the bladder issue or know what it sounds like?

Anyone else fighting off the stomach flu???

What did the sample show today? Are you okay?

I'm sorry you have the flu. I can't even imagine that right now - much less at 8 days!

I didn't have the bladder tingling. I had the opposite problem. I couldn't even feel my bladder for the first 10 days. I just had to use the restroom on a regular basis because I couldn't feel when it was full. Everything worked okay, but no sensation. I have slowly regained sensation. Yeah!

Anyhow, just wanted to send hugs!

I am waiting on the culture it will be 24 hours to 48 hrs. I feel a bit better, but now have insomnia... Oh well..
