Spotting 2 weeks (tomorrow) post op

LAVH and TVT bladder sling May 23.

Last time I spotted, it turned into gushing blood, rush to ER..

I started spotting at 930 tonight. I called doc on call. She said she isn't worried about spotting/smear.. but anything heavy to call back.

I am afraid to get up.. I am afraid to pee.

I am so tired.. having a hard time peeing.. I am not going to sleep tonight. I am going to be peaking and checking for bleeding.

I know what you are saying about being afraid. I have had a lot of anxiety bc I am afraid I am gonna hurt something. I did even spot after sugery, then last Friday ended up in Er with an UTI and.started spotting.It stopped. Yesterday, I had a hard time with a bm..and was afraid I had hurt something, then got up spotting. So all day I don't want to go pee bc I am.afraid of blood. I am 2 weeks post today. I am over all the anxiety. Hope youfeel better soon.

My surgery (TAH) was different from yours and I'm not sure how relevant it is, but all of us have hundreds of sutures inside, even though are incisions are different. My surgeon told me to expect some bleeding during weeks 3 and 4 as the sutures begin to come out. That hasn't happened to me but it still might.

Others here have been advised not to worry unless it takes more than a pad per hour to handle bleeding. If that happens, get someone else (even a taxi) to take you to a hospital or emergency clinic if it is after hours and too late to reach your doctor.

Take some deep calming breaths and try not to panic, hard though that might be.
