The offical results of the conal per lab report are High grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (CIN II, moderate dysplasia involving three cervical quadrants (12 to 3:00, 3 to 6:00 and 9 to 12:00)

Focal Endocervical gland involvement with dysplasia
Dysplasia present focally at inked Endocervical margin
No edidence of invasive carcinoma

Since I did my homework and looking around here, I was prepared to hear what he said... I wasn't shocked, not happy but not shocked. Looks like I will be becoming an official Hyster sister

He suggested an TAH. Given the facts that we have tried to treat it and it did not go away, yet got worse in grade. He said the fact that my HPV is showing up at my age 40, that it seems to want to hang around. I had him in his office for 1 hr. Loaded with pen, paper and all my questions. He was great! Now the bad part is.. he is retiring 1-1-07 he said he stopped doing major surgery 5 years ago. I have been seeing him for a year, I had no idea duh! He refer'd me to his associate, a women. I have an appoinment Jan 9th with her to meet her and such.

He would like it done beginning of the year, 1st quarter, he said 6 months is too long. I would like to do it end Jan/ early feb, since this will work better at work. So I am gonna call her office and see how to accomplish that.

I am very lucky in that I have great bene's and can be out the 6-8 weeks at full pay

Hi! I am having a hysterectomy in Feb. because of severe dysplasia with no clean margins. I am glad to know someone else is having this because of the dysplasia. I was afraid my dr. was jumping the gun. Keep me posted! thanks, Clare

Ya I know.
I called to get my appt for the consult with the new Dr moved up. They are booking surgery for Feb now so I bet I wont get in until March I go see her on 12-27.

I looked her up on the net and she is like sooo young I mean like late 30's maybe. I am used to the senior Dr's so I gotta get used to the idea. I di find out she has a great reputation tho.

I am getting sad too, I mean I am so bummed to have my uterus removed... man that where my babies grew, ya know and even the C section scar will not be the one my daughter caome through... it is bumming me out. Weird but true.
