If possible, go on a vacation!

Hello to all! I just got back from my vacation in Mexico and I have to admit it is the perfect cure for worry! Not just Mexico - vacation. If you have the opportunity to get away before your surgery is scheduled, please do so. I have worried myself sick over my TAH scheduled on 8/22 and last week my DH took our family to Mexico for a week on vacation. I love the sun! It was absolutely wonderful. And to be honest, I only caught myself thinking about surgery on a couple occasions at which time I would remind myself I am on vacation so far away from home and away from my worries and they just disappeared. Now that I am home again. I, of course, am worried and scared! I know most of you probably don't have time to get away, but if possible, do yourself a favor, even if it is just for a weekend.... get away and leave your troubles behind. It's great medicine!

Hi Clynn. Hope you waved to me as you flew over on your way to Mexico. A vacation sounds like a good idea. Hmm, when can I squeeze it in? This weekend I have to shop for my granddaughter's birthday present (Barbie doll house) and the next weekend is her birthday. Can't miss that. The weekend after that is the weekend before surgery. Phooey. I don't have time to take a vacation I should have planned this better I am so glad you had a good time. What time is your surgery scheduled for? I'll be thinking about you. I think I am 2 hours behind you so if you are scheduled in the morning I can send you good thoughts before I go.
