Stress! Stress! Stress!

Post OP 11 days now. Feeling mentally, physically and emotionally EXHAUSTED! My daughter and her step-father have put me in the middle of their drama. All I can do not to scream, but it will hurt me if I do. Why oh why do they insist on doing this to me when I have just had such a MAJOR surgery?? Uggggghhhhhhh😝

Re: Stress! Stress! Stress!

Oh man! :*( is there any way at all you can get away to stay with a less stressful relative? If not is speaking up and asking them if they can try to spare you somehow. That has to be rough.

Re: Stress! Stress! Stress!

Not possible to get away. Kept my daughter and step daughter away last weekend but both here now. Locked myself in my bedroom and watching TV. All I can do now. It's ironic how we as women do everything for everyone else and when we're down the whole household falls apart!

Re: Stress! Stress! Stress!

I certainly understand your frustrations. I swear I went through the same thing when I got home...I couldn't stand it. My husband fussing about what my son didn't do and coming to me..I flat out told all of them I am trying to heal and I don't want to hear nothing at all. I threaten to leave and travel to my mom to finish recovering if it didn't gee better. Best thing just tune it completely out and heal. You can't stress because it could prolong your process. Feel better

Re: Stress! Stress! Stress!

Same here. On postop day 3 my mother in law arrived from the uk. Not her fault as holiday pre booked but help......nope! I have made her drinks, cooked dinner, cleaned up, the works! Oh, done her washing, changed her bed.

Hubby says DONT! However if I didn't she wouldn't eat or drink anything. Starting to think she has mild dementia. She isn't remembering basic things.

Hubby's back bad due to work accident so have been trying to do more and not burden him.

Mum had total hip replacement and I could do nothing for her!

I'm right with ya, know how you feel.

What brought me back to earth was my cancer link nurse wh gently reminded me I wasn't at three weeks yet!
