quick question about baths

Im over 5 weeks post op now...feel great! Had my appointment today, he said I had some granulation tissue and treated it, I assume with the silver nitrate or whatever.....said i was good to go, but i should avoid intercourse for about 2 more weeks cause of the treatment. Besides that, i was good to go... I forgot to ask if I can finally have a bath. Is it okay? If so, even though he did that treatment in his office today? Thanks girls!

Re: quick question about baths

Really you need to ask your Dr. Usually they clear for a bath when you can have sex----or so it seems, but that's an observation, not advice. Better ask to be sure, esp since you had a treatment. I'd think you don't want water getting in there yet but don't know.

Re: quick question about baths

Sorry, but I agree with (((greyown)))--until your doctor clears you specifically, stick with the shower! It wouldn't hurt to call and ask, but my guess is that especially since you just had the silver nitrate for a healing issue, baths are out until you are cleared for intercourse!

Re: quick question about baths

thanks girls, I will stick the the showers for 2 more weeks.
Just the thought of soaking in a nice warm bath was almost to much for me...almost did it! lol. Hey, i waited this long, another 2 weeks will be a breeze!

Re: quick question about baths

LOL Madison I hear ya, I posted yesterday about how badly I want a bath. It's funny how when you can't have something.. That's what you really want

Just think in a few weeks time this will all be a distant memory
