Nesting
My surgery is in nine days and beginning a few days ago, I started nesting. It's like I can't help it. Something in my body is getting ready for this surgery by making me clean and organize everything all day long.
No, I'm not wearing myself out, but I was worried I wouldn't be ready in time. Now I'm not sure my body will let me not be ready. It's kind of funny. I'm not sure how my nesting instincts know something is up, but they sure do.

I am 12 days out and have been doing the same thing when I get home from work. I keep a list of things that I would like done before the surgery and for every 1 thing I complete I thing I add 2 more.

Yep, I was the same way!!! Started nesting a couple weeks before surgery and I could NOT stop myself!!! It was well worth it too because you are going to need your rest after you get back from the castle!!!

How funny! I spent Monday in a blur of cleaning and all week I've been list making and preparing! I suppose it's a biological thing; we know we'll be out of it for a while and we want things to be under control so we can recoup without guilt!

Oh man, I'm not feeling well today. It's driving me crazy not to be cleaning and organizing my house. I hope I feel better soon so I can honor the nesting. 
It's funny that so many of us have done this, too before our surgeries.

I have my surgery the same day as you! I have been nesting as well, I even scrubbed the baseboards! lol! And I still have so much more to do... getting down to the wire!

Sarah303, that's funny--same name, same surgery date and same nesting thing. I fully plan to scrub my baseboards. Plus, I got a bunch of frames yesterday and I'm redoing all the art on my living room walls.

I was nesting till I got to the 1 week mark, now I can't focus on anything. I walk in a room and wonder why I went in there. :/ I still try to mark a couple things off my list each day
