New here, surgery set for November 20th.

I am new here. I just wanted to say this is a great web site! Thanks Barb! I am having my surgery on November 20 because of Adenomyosis. I would love to talk with other women that has had/have this.

Hi DeDe! I, also am having TAH for adeno on 10/28. The waiting is sincerely the hardest part! I don't have lots of info on this disease, but we chat none the less! Good luck, and I am so glad you found this site - it is a wonderful place!!

You are going to feel soooooooooooooo much better. No more terrible menstrual pain!!!!!!!!!!! In my experience as an OB/Gyn nurse those with adenomyosis feel like they have their lives back and are no longer controlled by their pain. Good luck to you.

I'm glad you found us. I had a TAH on 8-26-02 and the path report came back showing I had adenomyosis. This was a surprise to my doctor because adeno usually occurs in women who have given birth, which I never did.

Although I'm not sure how much of my pre-surgery pain was fibroid related or adeno related I have learned, through this website and other resources, that my period problems may have been from adeno. But my doctor wasn't looking for this so who knew?
