3 Weeks Post Op - How are you?

I am 3+ weeks post op and have suddenly started bleeding a lot more than I was. Still fairly pink. No temp. Feeling yucky. Anyone else experiencing this? Didn't think I was overdoing it, but... maybe!

3 Weeks Post Op - How are you?

I too am 3 weeks post-op. Went to the Dr. today, and he told me I need to call when I am ready to go back to work(I am in no hurry), read a lot of posts about not to do too much to soon. So, I have decided to take it easy, and return to work in March. This is the first week I have felt better. My bellybutton has been really hurting quite a bit. I have been using ice on it. Other than that I am just going to rest and get a few things done. Liberty, let us know how work is. I haven't bled except the first 2 days, and some very light spotting at that. Haven't really had a bad time with this except for the first 2 weeks. Good luck, ladies

3 Weeks Post Op - How are you?

It has been 2 1/2 weeks for me. I have been forcing myself to take things easy and not lift things. I been to town on my own and have been driving since I went of the meds.

I think the bladder sling is harder to recover from than the LSH. I sort of feel slightly swollen and sore down there. I am slightly concerned about the fact that just over a week ago I felt the sling while washing myself (I'd been seen to check my urine flow the day before). I was told I wouldn't feel the sling. I hope it was just due to swelling and it settled into its proper place. I have not checked it since first feeling it as I don't want to introduce possible germs. I will be having a follow-up on the 24th so I'll inquire about it then.

As for my incisions, the lowest ones are the only sore ones. I figure it is because I have a floppy belly at this stage in life. It actually feels larger and floppier. The belly button incision has been painless. I even had to ask in the hospital if they had gone thru the belly button because it didn't look like they had. Maybe the scar tissue from the previous lap operations (3) numbed the area.

3 Weeks Post Op - How are you?

I am exactly three weeks today. I had a lavh and kept ovaries. Things have been going pretty good. I still get tired easily. I just posted that I have just started bleeding bright red blood this morning and don't know why. I didn' t do much of anything yesterday except for pick up my child from school and do some laundry which I have been okayed to do for awhile. Other than that things have been going well.

I'm 3 weeks out too. My incision has been pretty much painless. I don't get that tired, but I haven't had any difficulty sleeping a full night either. So, all in all, it's coming along nicely. Once the numbness/picky sensation goes away from the pubic area, I'll be golden.

3 Weeks Post Op - How are you?

This exact thing happened to me. I called the dr and nurse said I was probably doing too much, but I didn't think that I was. The bleeding continued and got worse so I went to the dr's office the next day. After an exam, the dr put some silver nitrate on some "raw" areas. This has helped so much. He said that the bleeding was not from over-doing it. He could tell because the stitches are healing as they should. I'm really glad that I went to the dr-it gave me peace of mind and the silver nitrate almost stopped the bleeding.

3 Weeks Post Op - How are you?

I'm 3 weeks post-op as well from an LAVH LSO I too have noticed bleeding now and I haven't had any since day 4 post-op, it's only small amounts so I'm not too worried. My bellybutton incision is also sensitive to touch, and I still feel some pelvic pain and back pain at times. Hope everyone is continuing to take good care of themselves.

3 Weeks Post Op - How are you?

I had a TAH to remove a 16" tumor and I feel so much better it's almost scary. Anything is better than carrying that thing around anymore!! I've spotted just a very tiny bit the last few days, and felt minor cramps, and still can fall asleep at the drop of a hat, but if I'm just sitting watching tv or reading, I almost forget I've surgery I feel so painless.
