Is This Lump Normal?

Hi. I'm entering my 4th wk p/o abd subtotal. Cervix/ovaries remain. My outer incision is closed...still red/itchy.
I can feel the internal horizontal incision...it feels as a firm line. However, the left side is considerably pronounced in both firmness and protrusion.
Could this be the begining of/already formed adhesion? My next appt is 7/21.
Should this be checked out sooner...or is this normal? Thanks.

sounds like a kiloid which aren't uncommon. all it is is a bump under your scar.

My doc too said that lumps are common, however, it never hurts to give your doctor's office a call to make sure.

Thanks everyone. I'll try to make an appt this week. Also, I'm noticing most of you have 4 wk follow-ups with your drs...my next visit is three wks away. Had my staples out 6/16.
Is a 4 wk f/u standard? Thanks.
