LAVH with posterior colporrhaphy (rectocele repair)

I am having a LAVH with posterior colporrhaphy on Oct 11th. I was just wondering if I will be sent home with a catheter in for this surgery. My gyny didnt mention anything about it but I have read on here that some where sent home with one. I dont think I like that idea

I can certainly understand how you're feeling. Some women do go home with a catheter afterwards, especially if they had bladder work done. Not everyone does though. I didn't even wake up after my TVH (no repairs) with one. It was only used during the actual surgery and then removed before I woke up. The best way to find out is to ask your doctor so you'll know what to expect.
