Constant fatigue, anyone? More in bed than out?

I was like this because of the pain and the (then much higher dose of) pain meds before the surgery almost 10 weeks ago.

Even though the pain is greatly improved, and I'm gradually reducing the dose - I'm already at 1/3 of preop level - I get only an occasional burst of energy.

My thyroid can be a problem - I've had Hashimoto's for years. this feels different, though - a fatigue so deep that not even caffeine, which I save for emergencies, doesn't touch it. I force myself to walk 1-2 miles on a treadmill 4-5 times a week, trying to get my strength back and get in shape; afterwards I collapse!

Is it simply the impact on my body of such a huge change? The HRT (already reduced to .5 mg from 1 mg - no more breast soreness, and swelly belly is improving)? Or am I depressed without realizing it? I'm continuing on the Zoloft that the pain management doctors insisted on, maybe it's not enough?

Is anyone else this tired?

Thanks,

Hannah

Certainly possible... that will just drain the energy right out of you, but there are other symptoms as well. You can probably find a checklist online. On a search engine type in "depression symptoms" and see if you have however many of them would make it worthwhile to discuss it with your doc--or maybe just ask your doc anyhow. I wish you all the best. You've already had enough "girl troubles".

Im tired too. When I feel i want to do something, Itry and it wipes me out, so I lay down !

I think everyone is different. Im sure all this stuff will get better sooner or later. Im just so happy to be where Im at now, Instead of 6 months ago when I started all this

I hope things improve for you soon,

I would get off the treadmill so much. From my working-out experience, if you're that tired your body is telling you something. Are you eating nutritiously? Are you eating enough to support excercise and healing? Also make sure you get adequate sleep.
