Confirmed surgery date

I got a call from the nurse at my gyn's office (yes, she actually called me!!) and confirmed my surgery date for Jan. 23. She also said that my insurance has approved the surgery. I love my new dr. and her office--my last gyn's office took forever to return calls, and they actually lost my chart at one point (I don't think it ever was found).

But I digress. This was a real "shot in the arm" for me. I had been worrying about the insurance thing, and it's a real load off my shoulders that all is well in that department. Now if I can just shake off this blasted virus, I'll be on Cloud Nine!

The funny thing is that in the week between Christmas and New Year's, I was actually second-guessing my decision to have the surgery at all because I was feeling pretty good--except for the cough and mucus and, well, you get the picture. But in the last two days the pain has come back with a vengeance, and I know I have made the right decision. I feel confident with my new gyn, and I am so happy to have found this site with so much support. Happy New Year to all, and God bless!

I'm sure that it is a relief to have insurance approval - one less worry.
I'll say a prayer that the virus clears up soon. It if doesn't, maybe you should call the dr about it and ask for suggestions.
