who started divinci but had to be cut?

Hi all. Im rather new here and having the divinci done in a week. My dr said he may have to do an abdominal incision if the scar tissue is to bad. Ive had 3 c/s... the last one i had twins andgot a massive infection. The cut was opened back up and had to be packed 3x a day. Was horrific...didnt completely close till 7 weeks. Im scared after that of having to be cut even though i know he would not do it if he didnt have too. Anyone with advice or stories?

I was scheduled for a LAVH but like you was told that with my pervious 3 c sections ( I had twins also) and other abdominal surgeries I could have too much scar tissue for him to preform it safely He would not know until he got in there. I ended up with a TAH because of the scar tissue.

I've had 4 c/s and a couple of laps. I also had an enlarged uterus. I was able to have DvH. Best of luck to you. I hope your dr doesn't have to convert.

I'm still waiting for my dvH surgery date but my doctor told me due to the size of my uterus he's concerned he may have issues seeing with the camera and I need to prepare myself for the fact that he may have to cut me. I wish you all the best.
