7 months post up dr apt
Well....so many things I feel more comfortable about today. I had a complete hysterectomy in Oct/08. The specialist kind of was brief about telling me much, so while I knew I had fibroids and endometriosis, I wan't sure how severe. Today, I found out, I had a small spot of endometriosis on my fallopian tube and ondometriosis in the muscle in my uterus. Also, some small fibroids. My dr says I should not have any issues now from any of this. Secondly, my headaches. I have tried increasing/decreasing my estrogen. I am still having headaches either way. He said he would go to the original dose and stay there...that if neither directions helped, it was not likely the estrogen. He also said he has been involved in many communications with gynecologists, and changing from conjugated to bioidentical, has not been proven to make much of a difference. As for being so tired, he believes my effexor is part of that, since it actually slows everything up for me to make me more relaxed. That is likely part of my weight. My blood pressure being up,,,well, I have gained weight, and I am too tired to do much. Basicly, I have to discipline myself to lose weight and exercise, and then, hopefully as a result get more energy too! DOESN'T IT ALL SOUND SO SIMPLE!!!

Hi MsDewey!
Thank you for sharing your insights. I've wondered about the Effexor; I have suspected that for a long while affecting those things you mention. Sounds like you are progressing well in your recovery and new discoveries!
Hugs!!

Re: 7 months post up dr apt
I had said I would like to be off of it,,,the dr said, while there are other meds,,,then I have to go through the coming off and going on process...and he does not believe the answer is no meds. Well, I will have no other choice but to discipline myself and get by all of this!
