Had my pre-op today!!

I was really pleased! I met with the dr. and he answered all of my last minute questions and then off to the castle for pre-admission and lab work. I also met with the anethesiologist... I'm going to have a spinal and they'll put me in "twilight sleep". He said that the chance of a spinal headache is almost nil and none and that people seem to recover faster if they don't have a general. He also said if I feel ANYTHING or am the least bit "awake" and want to be more "out", just to ask! Oh, the dr. gave me a presc. for 5 xanax, so that should keep me calm! And NO bowel prep!!!! I also jokingly asked the admissions clerk about my dr...I was only teasing her, but she said that if he was doing the surgery, I must really need it! She said he's not the type to just operate for everything like some of the others... I was surprised that she was so blunt, but glad to hear what she had to say! Just wanted ya'll to know!! I feel better about this whole thing now!!!
