If you are itching inside and out, I doubt that lotion would help -- and I don't think you should put anything on your incision unless your doc oks it.

I would suggest a benadryl before bed -- the antihystamine relieves itching, and it also has a side effect of being sedating, so it will put you to sleep. Or you could use tylenol PM instead of whatever pain meds you are on, since it actually includes both tylenol and benadryl together.
But be sure to read the instructions and interactions on any meds you are taking -- for example, you DONT want to take tylenol PM and benadryl together, because that doubles up on the same stuff.

I used Oil of Olay on my belly from my navel down to, but not on the incision. For some reason, this was just the right thing to 'settle' the itchies down. It is light, and absorbs quickly, so it helped alot. I used it each day after my shower. Maybe it would help you.

I went to the Dr today for a checkup and asked if he had any advice for the itching that was driving me crazy. He said I can take Benadryl to relieve the itching and also to take it right before bed to help me with the insomnia that I'm also dealing with. I would call your Dr and ask if it's okay to take Benadryl especially if you are taking any other medications.
