progesterone cream???

hey ladies, i was looking in store, and saw progesteron cream..im little clueless to all the hrt stuff. but what is it for?? i had TAH on 21st, and they put me on estrogen patch, but it gave me sever migrains! once i peelede the patch off, my headaches went away..
after week since my surgery, my emotions!!!!!!! are driving me crazy, and my husband, doesnt help when hes not supportive either..he just says put your big girl panties on and deal with it. Nice huh, sigh. anyways, i was just curious on progesteron cream, and is estrogen patch my only hope to level out my moods?? or will they level out on their own in next couple weeks? im just feeling little lost, and out of control at the moment..thanks ladies

Hi there. I use only compounded progesterone cream & have used it for about 8 years now. It works quite well for me, as I didn't react well at all to estrogen. It helps me alot with sleep, hot flashes, night sweats & I think it helps with my mood, but I'd have to check with my husband & kids for sure!
It's not perfect, & I still have some bad days when my hormones are fluctuating, but it's definitely better than nothing at all... everyone is different though & hormones are really individual, but it might be worth a try.
