3 weeks post hysterectomy: Has anyone else had horrible headaches since surgery?

Have you had your iron levels checked since surgery? I've suffered from migraines since childhood and finally had them under control by avoiding food triggers until a year ago when I found I had low iron ( which was triggering my migraines ) Which in turn led to finding out I had fibroids. Low iron can have a side effect of of triggering headaches... So if they haven't tested it .. You may want to ask them to do so.

Yes, I had hormonal migraines pre-op and have had several mild ones since the surgery.

I was relieved to find this thread and hear all of the advice. My head throbbed within a day of surgery and, though the pain is more manageable, it has not gone away. It is as though I feel and hear my heart beat in my left ear. Hard to sleep and focus. A blood transfusion 3 days post op helped a little but I am a week past surgery and still struggling. I upped my caffeine but maybe by too much.
