dVH/RALH: having hysterectomy 28 of august

thursday is my surgery bloated has heck ,hopefully it will go
away,ovaries are staying ,anyone being nervous.

My surgery is also on Thursday, the 28th and YES, I am very nervous!!! But I am trying to focus on how great my life will be once it is all over. Good luck to us both!

Your fears, nerves, emotions, and freakouts are very normal. This is one tough surgery to digest and process. The days just be fore surgery can really intensify these emotions. You are not alone, and we know what you are going though.

Good luck to you ladies I just had mine in the 22 Nd with the DaVinci just as they say minimal invasive I went home mid morning next day and am on the mend. I was scared to death never had surgery before asked doctor a zillion questions so much so he called and was going to cancel my surgery and I begged him to do it only the afternoon before the day did I find out he agreed and boy did I apologize. A great surgeon who did what he said he would do.

hey NancyKB , how do you feel now and did you had alot
bloating before your surgery,sorry if im being noisey.

actually my symptoms were not bad no bloating I am now though and read that means I did too much my main reason for surgery was due to a grade 3 prolapse grade 3 cystocele and grade 2 rectocele and do surgery now before it gets worse now I'm worried I did too much

yeah , that have to be scarey as well. i had surgery before
but not like this one ,everything is being removed excepted
ovaries and im having the da vinci as well,im trying to stay
calm but really hard,

The DaVinci was great I was just frightened about having any surgery but I made it through. Easy to say to someone but I know the anxiety level in creases as you approach the day. I was prescribed Zanax but only took half of one that a friend gave me just to see what it was like and it was lesser milligrams than prescribed I didn't like the way it made me feel
