Today marks 4 months since my Hyster!

Wow, can't believe it's been four months already! I am feeling great Scars are still red, but I know they will lighten up eventually....I have lost 15 lbs. since my surgery and my stomach is getting smaller and smaller as the days pass...I look at myself in the shower and I'm shocked that a Uterus has done this to me for all these years, just trying to be patient and hopefully have no swelly belly at all LOL....the one thing I really enjoy the most is not having monthly's, it's great haha....this surgery has been a life savor and something I do not regret doing, I am enjoying the new me, and also looking forward for what's to come as the days go by...I am out running now, doing Insanity and just loving the fact that I'm not as insecure as I have been for eight years....it's amazing a Gyno could give me answers that I've been trying to figure out for so long....I wish everyone the best on their upcoming surgeries....its a cake walk

I'm 5 days post op and appreciate your post. I'm trying to look at the big picture and that helps. A new me is something I look forward to discovering and creating.

You are welcome ladies....@becca I was discouraged at first, was expecting results to happen over night, and obviously it didn't...but like my mom told me, it took eight years for this to happen, so imagine how long it's gonna take to all heal and be back to normal....don't get discouraged, time heals everything I wish you the best!!!!

Woo hoo! So great to hear a good story! Thanks for sharing, erinlee! I too am using this surgery as an opportunity for self improvement. Can't wait to see how I feel at the 4 month mark, which will fall in January. This has been a huge year for me and I feel grateful for the chance this surgery has given me to re-evaluate and re-balance.

Thank you for sharing this!!!!! 6 days post-op here and so happy to hear it is going to get better!!! It's been 7 years of pain for me, other failed surgeries, etc...hoping to have a pain-free life now! (well, after the healing, of course)
