scheduled for full robotic hysterectomy April 24

Hi everyone, scheduled for full hysterectomy on Tuesday. Kinda freaked out. Only 34 years old, diagnosed with PCOS and have had bleeding and anemia issues for years. Anyone else going through same thing?

Hi, heavy bleeding and anemia issues because of fibroids. I am 45 and also had the robotic. I am 10 days post op and glad I did this. I was more freaked out before the surgery I actually thought I wasn't going to survive the surgery. I went to sleep and I woke up thats all I remember. Up days and down days but overall I'd do this again than go back to before. Any questions feel free to ask. We are all here for you...!

I don't have PCOS, but had DvH yesterday and I'm recovering nicely so far. I'm sure someone else with your symptoms will post soon, but I wanted to wish you the best on your upcoming surgery.

I am having a hyst. on the same day. I had sever bleeding but had an ablasion, d and c and removal of endometreosis stuff. I am having a da vinici hyst. I sure hope it helps for you. I am praying for you. YOu are not alone.

I am 8 days post-op from my DvH and things have been pretty good so far. The most important thing is to just rest, rest,and more rest. It is the best thing that you will do for yourself after surgery! If you have any questions I will try to help the best that I can.

Thank you all for your replies. I am hoping since it is a DvTH it will be a less of a recovery, but I know rest is important. I know it's not a cure for PCOS but may help with my hormone swings. Not looking forward to estrogen for 15 years but overall I think it will be worth it.
