LAVH Post hysterectomy pain

I was wondering how long you ladies needed narcotic pain meds after your surgery. Mine was 12/8 and I sure as heck still need em. I'm just worried because I only got a couple days worth. I'm rationing them out and using Motrin as well, but I'm scared of running out.

I was on them for a full week. I attempted to stop either day 4 or 5, but that lasted just half a day! By day 8 I was able to get by on the prescription Motrin. Some Sisters need narcotic pain management longer, and that's okay.

Take them as scheduled if you need them. This isn't something where you'd gain anything by sucking it up. Work with your doctor if you feel you need a refill.
