Date set

Not sure what type I'm having. My doctor will be doing my surgery. All will be taken out including cervix, except ovaries if they are still good. Pre-op is September 12th, surgery set for September 19th. Starting to get nervous already.

Hi GSandra32 -

Being nervous and scared regarding this surgery is very normal. It can be quite the emotional . Know that you are not alone, and we will be here to help you and to support you.

Post your questions, as well as your emotions. It really does help.

Re: Date set

You are not alone! Before finding this site I was going bonkers. Waiting is the worst. I only have 4 more days and can not wait to get it over with. I ended up getting a RX for anxiety (lorazepam) so I can deal with it situationally . It seems to help without making me drool. I have been on a roller coaster of emotions and went to see a psychologist. He said that his mother had a hysterectomy at age 70 and a few days before hers she became highly emotional and was weeping about losing her womb. That seemed to validated my feeling pretty well.

We just take it one moment at a time. Come here when you need to connect with others that are feeling just like you! It helps.
