Managing fibromyalgia and diet post op

I learned the hard way that I still need to eat lightly. I had a cheeseburger from the grill and felt awful after it. Bloated and gas pain. It seems like eating very small portions and grazing is the better option. I just don't want to get into the habit of eating b/c I might be bored. I am really good at that and want this time to be a chance for some very intentional life-style changes. I was very actively working towards a more plant-based diet before the LAVH and have a gluten allergy and lactose intolerance (can only eat very small amounts).

Any of you dealing with fibro and how this surgery affects the fibro. Spring in WI is hard on fibro b/c of the dampness. And managing food is a big part of that for me. It's hard to know how much tiredness and pain is from fibro and how much from surgery or if the one exacerbates the other.

Have my follow up with my doc on 5/11/11.

Thanks for all of you who are out there.

Re: Managing fibromyalgia and diet post op

Hi dragonfly55
I wanted to send some hugs and hopes that you're feeling better today. I haven't dealt with fibro but I know there are many on the boards who have. If you do a search for fibromyaligia I think you'll find threads where it is discussed.

I also changed your title in hopes it will draw the attention of some who are also dealing with these same things. I hope you're finding answers and healing well. Keep us posted on your progress.
