had my hysterectomy surgery this morning

And man, I expected to feel much worse than I do. I'm more sore than in pain.

So, I had my family go home. I'm totally going to take a nap. And as I said in my wallet post in the pre surgery area, thank you all. I am so glad I found it here.

I had the same type of surgery you had a month ago tomorrow. I felt really pretty good in the hospital. Hell, I had cramps worse than what I heard after surgery. And I feel pretty darned good right now. Told my doc today at my check up that I hadn't felt this good in a long time!

I hope you get a good nights sleep, enjoy the yummy meds, and know that the worst is behind you.

don't be fooled it's those yummy meds they give you in the hospital. rest well.
When you get home, stay on top of your medications - take them on time that first week -- then you can try lengthening the time between and/or going of narcotics and switching to regular OC pain meds.
Remember to "pamper the princess" you deserve to rest and heal well.

Oh man, I'm not fooled now. I can't say I'm in agony, because I'm not... but my little "happy button" and I are becoming quite good friends. I feel like I've done a gazillion crunches and rode a horse bare back for hours! Not comfy by any means.

I'm waiting for my nurse to come in and do my vitals and then I'm going to sleep as much as I can.

I would say most of my pain has been digestive and gas. Some surgical pain. One week out and still gassy.

Wish I could've stayed in the hospital longer so I could've had stronger pain meds longer....I'm 3 days out and I hurt quite a bit nothing major but very uncomfortable!! I thought they would've sent me home with stronger pain meds!! Enjoy the hospital stay as much as you can
