Blood blister near incision? (4 weeks post op)

My incision has been healed for while, but today it's been bugging me. It finally ocurred to me to look at it. I have a large blood blister right at the end of the incision, and it's oozing blood. What's up with this?

I was up and around quite a bit last week, and I went to church this morning, but I've been laying around most of today (partly because I'm not feeling great, and partly because my incision was kinda hurting.)

I put some Neosporin on the blister.

I see my urologist for my 4-week checkup on Tuesday. She didn't have anything to do with the abdominal incision (she did her own vaginal incision) but I'm sure I can get her to look at it. Should I call my gyno too, though?

<<Should I call my gyno too, though?>> Yes! you should call your GYN doctor and let him/her know what's going on. Until then, keep the area clean with soap/water when you shower. Use your neosporin as you've been doing. I'd keep a clean, dry, bandage on it until you see him.

hth,

Update #2 based on 4 wk check with urologist: It was probably due to an ingrown hair (!?!) and it looks fine now, so it's nothing to worry about.

Isn't that bizarre? I had almost the same type of thing under my incision - it was an ingrown hair and was getting all icky looking right next to my incision. I'm still putting neosporin on it, but it's getting better!
