Estrogen shot-12/30 at discharge

I am wondering how long the estrogen shot will last? I am 43 & had my tahv/bso Tuesday the 29th. I am not ready to go thru menop right now and am on 10 mg lexapro for the past three months for anxiety/depression so I'm fretting abt relapse.

Does anyone know how long the shots last? I go for my follow up Jan 11th. Dr will start me on hrt then I guess.

I am not sure how long your shot will last. You could do a web search for the specific dosage that you were given.

I noticed in your profile that you had endo/adeno/fibroid issues. This may mean that it will take some tweaking to get your hrt right since you will want to be on as low of a dose of estrogen as possible. It can take some time to get the dosage right. Hang in there!

The shots last about a month, give or take a week or two

(((Pam))) If they didn't tell you, I would figure that it's supposed to last at least until your exam on the 11th. However, if you want to know how long your shot is supposed to last just for peace of mind, you need to call your DR's office and ask. There are different estrogen shots that can be given, and they last different amounts of time.
