Overdoing things at 4 months out???

Is it possible to overdo things at 4 and a half months out?

I went on a girl's weekend to the city and did lots of walking and shopping. On the second day out my belly was huge! It was the biggest it has been in a couple months.

My swelly belly was just starting to get better. I still got it occassionally but not everyday. I am so discouraged about this. I am a mother of a 1 and 4 year old so I am used to going all day. I even work out almost every day.

Is it possible that I can still overdo myself at this late stage in the game?

Overdoing things at 4 months out???

Hi eager,
I would have to say that yes, it is possible. If you think about before you had surgery when you had days that you worked hard and ended the day exhausted and then think about the fact that you had major surgery 4 months ago. This same thing can happen to us, but to a greater degree because of the area of our body that has taken the trauma. I think your body is just letting you know that the combination of activities and the length of time you did them was more than it was happy with you doing.
It is hard to believe I know, but it really can take 6 months to a year to fully heal. I think what you experienced is further proof. I hope you were feeling better as soon as you rested up. I would guess that is true. Take care. You're still a princess.

's, Rita

Overdoing things at 4 months out???

I still am not feeling up to where I was and it has been 2 days of being home. Of course I haven't been able to do any resting because of running a household. Things are still more swollen than usual but it is SLOWLY going down. I also have a lot of other stress in my life right now so I'm sure that isn't helping.

Thanks for your response Rita!
