Uterine biopsy
Hello everyone,
When I went in for my uterine biopsy the doctor was unable to get into the uterus despite my taking the prescribed medication. She said that doesn't necessarily indicate there is a problem and that it happens about once a year that she is unable to perform a biopsy.
I was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience?
Thanks

Re: Uterine biopsy
Yes my first biopsy could not be completed, probably because I never gave birth. Next time they used a local block and had no problem getting in, plus no pain. Maybe they would consider a block for you if they needto try again.

Re: Uterine biopsy
Yep. They tried 2 biopsies on me and could not do it. He said it was because my vagina is small - no vaginal birth - and I had a taunt band of tissue around the cervix. I had to have a D&C. no way could I have endured that again. It was not pleasant...

Re: Uterine biopsy
Thank you both so much, it helps to know others have had the same experience. The doctor did not indicate a need to try again but I will ask her about that at my next appt.
