Has anyone lost weight after all this?

I was on another website and read that some women have lost 10 to 15 pounds after having a hysterectomy. I think mostly due to lack of appetite afterwards. Has anyone had this experience or am I just looking for some gold at the end of the rainbow?

I've lost about 10 to 15lbs also..it's kinda nice when you don't even have to work at it for it to go away!

I hope I lose some! It would give me a good start! I am planning on joining Weight Watchers with my mom after I am feeling better. I need to lose about 40-50 pounds.

spaceytracy72..I've been doing weight watchers on line since last December and have lost about 23 pounds. I highly recommend it. It's really not that hard, but if I can just get rid of some from the surgery I might make my goal much quicker.

I lost 16 lbs. It was rather a drastic way to do it though!

I can't tell you how happy I am to hear that you actually lose weight. I've heard horror stories about people gaining 25 pounds.

I lost 70 pounds and was actually more upset about the possibility of gaining weight. I won't be able to Jazzercise for about 8 weeks, but my doctor said that excercizing and losing all the weight is going to aid in my recovery time.

You guys have made my day

Has anyone lost weight after all this?

Besides the 5# of fibroids and my uterus, I also lost weight in the hospital because of the awful food---I only ate what was recognizable and plain, plus lots of liquids. Lost some more the week after at home because the pain meds suppressed appetite. Have held my own since then and am sure I can lose abut 10 more that needs to go.

Oh Lordy please let me be one of the lucky ones that lose weight instead of gaining it. My sister gained 20 pounds when she had her hysterectomy. I can't afford to gain any more weight at all!
