Re: one week post op?

That sounds tough. At one week I was able to fold clothes and put them away in the top two drawers. I could do the non-heavy dishes. I think you have to listen to your body. If it hurts, don't do it. If your belly gets extra sore or starts swelling, cut back and rest. Just remember that right now your most important job is healing, and as they say here, you only get one chance to do it right. Perhaps your boyfriend can help with the "heavier" things after he gets home, at least until you've had time to heal. Try not to do too much at one time, and take care of you.

Re: one week post op?

Thanks, its very hard to just lay around all day. And with my son being homeschooled makes it hard to just lay in room and not see mess. Ugh. so glad for this site and the support I get here as I am a mess right now

Re: one week post op?

By one week I was cleaning house, doing dishes and doing laundry (I had someone who transferred the wet stuff from the washer to the dryer but other than that I did everything). I just paced myself. If I got tired or sore I'd rest and go back to the chores later.

All of my restrictions were lifted at 5 weeks (a week ago) so I've been doing everything since then with no issues.
