pain 11 weeks post op.

Um hi there, I am new here, and hope i am posting in the right place... i had my op 11 feb 2009. had a bleed and blood transfusion. ended up back in hospital 1.5 weeks after being discharged due to infected haematoma...... now 11 weeks post op and i did some sweeping, ended up being in so much pain. Have had small amount of mucous discharge for weeks.. was just wondering if this is normal to be in so much pain now, abdo becomes bloated, sore and hard.....also have had a constantly sore lower back reminding me of period pain... anyone else had this happen to them? thanks

Welcome, I had my surgery on Feb 3rd, I did not have a difficult time like you but I have had the sore tummy. today is the 3rd week back to work for me and this is the first day that I have actually gotten home from work and was not swollen and sore. So it does get better. I did decide to try and get back into a walking routine after supper tonight and only went for a short walk but guess what, the swelling came back again but at least it's not as sore. I was told it will take a while to be at 100% again and I guess the Dr. is right. But hang in there you will start to see improvement.

thanks for that.. was starting to think i was having a problem with my bowels... phew! suppose i will just have to take things slowly still... kinda frustration this far along... my bowels were stuck to the haematoma so i now have lots of scar tissue... will keep on plodding on :0)
