Light Spotting after Sex

Hi Everyone!
I had my 6 week post-op checkup yesterday...My doctor said all was well, and it was safe to go back to my regular activities, including sex...Well last night, we took it easy, and all felt ok...a little tender, but I was expecting that....
anyway, this morning when I got up, there was a little pink discharge...none on my panties, just on the tp...and it was there most of today, but looks to be stopped now...This makes me a little nervous cause part of me thinks I should have called the doctor, and the other part of me thinks that logically...it has only been 6 weeks, and even though I was cleared, maybe my vaginal cuff is not completely healed? The doctor said my cuff looked great and did not mention any silver nitrate treatments....I'm just a little scared now about tonight!!! Since it has been so long, we both want to try again!
Just wondering if this seems pretty normal the first few times resuming sexual relations, or does anyone feel there should be absolutely NO bleeding at all and I should call the doctor?
Thanks for any insight, and I hope everyone is having a smooth recovery!

Re: Light Spotting after Sex

Hi agarris2
When I had my last appointment with my doctor I asked what to do if I would have bleeding when we tried to have sex and he told me to call. I know some drs say to expect some bleeding right at first. There seems to be a range of opinions on it among drs.

What you are experiencing with the tenderness and a little discomfort sounds pretty normal from what I experienced too. Since the bleeding was light I don't believe you would be risking too much to try again tonight and see what happens. If it happens again or is worse you'll know to call before you try again. I hope everything goes well. Let us know.
Rita
