Re: Life at 40

I also feel that I had a whole new outlook on life last year after my hysterectomy. I quit my job and now I am a full time student I have one more year to receive my bachelors and I feel that at 42 I am finally in control and know what I want in life.

Re: Life at 40

You know what they say...40's are the new 30's! I think of myself like a fine wine...I just keep getting better with age!

Re: Life at 40

I just turned 40 in August and I am single and live with 6 BIG dogs and 2 cats. Life has never been happier!!! I am scheduled to have a hysterectomy in December and not at all worried that "I never had kids". My animals love me unconditionally and life is GREAT.

Re: Life at 40

Just turned 49 on 10/16. Originally posted to this in 2007. As I finish my 40's - I still hold with what I originally said. Being in your 40's is great and I am hoping that being in my 50's next year will be just as great if not better. I feel GOOD! My surgery was the best thing I ever did! Given the choice - YES - I would do it again....
