better sex after????????? fibroids?

Hi ladies -
I just had lap. ovary/tumor out and D&C and fibroids out ...and - sex is so much better!!!!!!
am concerned now is better (like GREAT!!!!!) after hyster. have sked 5/5 will be not better - or same again.

my gut is prob fibroids being gone. does any1 know if that can increase sex. libido or sensitivty maybe?? am gonna ask doc but am a bit to, but will ask because i am surprised! (shhh - dont tell dh - haha). Poor dh feels abused, i am actually daydreaming about YKW - and cant believe it! (even with all my endo craziness )

O please dont go away after hyster. !!!!!!!
has this happened to anyone else???

tnx,
Jen

Well, glad you hear you're feeling well after the surgery you've just had --- (though with what you've just had done I'm curious as to why you are having a hyst?)

Sometimes we feel so crummy before surgery that we don't realize how much it is effecting our lives - and after surgery we have a lot more energy - so an improved interest in sex is not unusual.

Sometimes just freeing up the space that the fibroids took up makes us feel better and more comfortable.

If you keep your remaining ovary, you may find that your interest stays the same after your hyst. However, it is also possible that your ovary will be sluggish after surgery and you'll be a bit out of balance for a bit.

Then again, no one can promise that everything will go 100% -- hysterectomy is a major surgery, and there are always some risks involved.

I hope you come through with flying colours and continue to enjoy this new energy!

O.K., maybe I am a bit naive. Give me a hint of what YKW means?

PammyJean, in answer to your question, I believe Jen is using YKW (You Know What) as a euphemism for sexual intercourse.
