four weeks post op and something new

Hello, well I am back with another concern, hopefully it is just my nerves. I have to say that I have been fairly active for the last two weeks after having m surgery on the 28th, of March. The last couple of day my abdomen has seemed a little more uncomfortable than it has been. Well then tonight when I stood up from the couch I felt a weird tugging and what seemed to me like a popping feeling on my upper right side. I doesn't really hurt it feels like a slight side stich (cramp). Has anyone else experienced this and should I be concerned?

May everyone heal quickly with no problems and God bless you all

Re: four weeks post op and something new

I also have been having cramps and more abdominal aches the last few days. I think it's because I felt so much better a few days ago that I probably overdid things. Today I took things very easy and kept my feet up a lot and the cramps have eased. It's really hard not to overdo it because you don't realize you have until the next day!! Take it easier for the next day or two and see what happens. Good Luck !

Re: four weeks post op and something new

I experienced a popping feeling in my left abdomen area a few weeks ago. Scared me to death because I thought I tore something inside. I had some mild cramping, but no other pain afterwards. Very weird and scary, but I don't think mine was anything serious because I feel fine now. I had no bleeding or residual pain.

Re: four weeks post op and something new

I'm in my fifth week of recovery and although my procedure was an LSH I am having pain around my stomach at my sides. My uterus was attached to my sigmoid colon so I think it's about normal to feel pain around there. I overdid it yesterday by throwing up too hard in the morning. Now today when I cough I ache in my sides. Amazing how much we use our stomach muscles.

Re: four weeks post op and something new

My doctor told me as I got more active I might feel some pulling sensations because things heal kind of stiff and there are also muscles I have not been using. I do not know about cramping but I think some pulling sensations are normal. I think it is important to have slow movements and not sudden jerky ones. If pain persists I think it is worthwhile to call your doctor. Good luck. I am on week 4 also.
