Re: waitress, back to work to soon?

I too am a waitress (Waffle House) and I took 12 weeks before returning to tables. I'm 11 weeks today and decided over the weekend, after being back for 3 weekends (6 days total) that I am ready for half shifts. My first half shift on tables is this Friday. I do not regret taking the time I have. When I went back 3 weekends ago I was calling in orders and wiping tables. On the weekends for now I will still be doing that as my body isn't strong enough for serving during extreme busy times.

Do you have a quick care nearby? It would be a lot cheaper than going to an ER, and they can rule out any complications.

Re: waitress, back to work to soon?

thank you, i saw another Dr. in the practiced and he took me back out till the first week of December. I didnt "harm" myself, but my body def got set back a bit. Feel better knowing its ok to not feel well enough for that kind of work. I felt pretty bad about it

Re: waitress, back to work to soon?

Don't underestimate just how hard your job really is. I'm glad you'll be off for a while new. Recovery takes time, and recovering enough for a strenuous job takes longer. I hope the extra time leaves you healed for a good return.
