Bowel prep today

B.P. fun for Napyhed!

Today is my day for bowel prep and I am off with a bang!

Had to start at 8 with my first glass to follow with a glass full every fifteen minutes.

I have a generic form of the lytley family and it does not taste too bad. It did not come with flavor and it is like salted water... Kind of hard to take a whole glass cold so I leave it out for a few minutes.

Already had a bm after the first glass. I guess eating bran, flax seeds, fruit vegetables and fruit for the past two week really helped get my bowels in shape!

I am also armed with broth, Gatorade, ginger ale, and 7 up to get me though the day.

Here goes the next glass!!

I just loved reading about y'alls poopy adventures!

My doc ordered me to get the Dulcolax Bowel Prep Kit that includes 4 tablets and 1 suppository. I take the 4 tablets after dinner and have nothing else to eat and continue to drink clear fluids until midnight. Then I am to insert the suppository 1-2 hours before I leave home. (Gosh, I live about 45 mins from the hospital--I hope it doesn't start working on me in the car!!)

Oh wow I hope you are okay for the drive there... !

I'm hoping to be mostly cleaned out by the trip that morning....maybe the suppository is a just in case thing?/ Who knows!!

May I suggest a Spiderman Depend, for precaution?

My prep took over 8 hours to work and I had to start in on the second bottle. To all who prep, be patient and close to the bathroom!

I took a fleets enema and it kicked in before I could count to 60. Only lasted for about 20 minutes, then I was done.
Not so bad.

I did the gallon of 'lytely' and it kicked in for me after the first glass.. Way before I took the laxatives...

Reading all these 'poopy tales' is making me VERY glad that my did not order me to do a bowel prep. Although, I may do a liquid diet the day before, just to make things easier after.
