One day hospital stay for total abdominal hysterectomy?

I was slated 3-5 days. I stayed for 4 as I had gas issues...

Im here in the big state of TX. I stayed 3 nites. My doc wanted to be careful with me. He tells his patients " if you can toot then you can scoot". I thought that was cute. Thats just to be sure bowels are working properly and of course bladder before you leave. Dont rush it. If you need more days you just let them know. One day is way too fast. You will need more time. You are having major surgery. Alltho I was happy to go home after the 3rd day!
