Internal sutures poking the hubby
So I'm at nine weeks post op tomorrow and the hubby and I tried a couple of times the last few days to do the deed. It is feeling fairly uncomfortable for me and he says he felt something picking/poking him. It has to be the internal sutures but shouldn't they have dissolved by now. It also feels for me like he just doesn't "fit" right now. What is that about? Maybe swelling still or would there be shortening of the vagina since they took my cervix and repaired with the vaginal cuff? Should I bug the doctor about the sutures or wait a bit longer?
Not freaking out yet but...

I would call the doctor and ask. You don't need added pressue at this stage in recovery! Let me know, I'm very interested.

Re: Internal sutures poking the hubby
Too funny, but not that kind of funny. I went to church for the first time on Sunday and one of the ladies was telling me this. She said it was difficult at first because everything is "new". There has to be some shortening and tightening I would think. She said "things had to stretch back out". The poking though, probably one or two stitches still hanging on, maybe doc could get them out.
