Post op panty

I'm just under four weeks post op, yet I swear my belly is more swelly belly and sore than two weeks ago. Giving consideration to the totally unsexy post op panty to offer some support that I can't get unless laying down with a pillow or lavender bag. However there are no reviews, any thoughts? Victoria's Secret is doing nothing for me as I would honestly rather be camando and in sweats for the rest of my life with how I'm feeling..
The grind however is on the horizon and I need to be realistic.

Re: Post op panty

Just had my TLH 5/28, but this was my 6th laparoscopic bc stage 4 endo. I always snag multiple pairs of the gauze panties from the hospital. Yes- they are completely ugly, but they are loose and comfy and do not irritate the mid-section.
In over 10 yrs of being operated on, I have yet to find another equally comfy post-op panty.
Let me know if u have any luck!!

Big hugs to u!

Re: Post op panty

I wear low slung panties with a cammie and ab binder under my clothes.
I also have some spanx type that
I wear all the time. I like the bathing suit style. I find they dont have pressure points since there is no elastic edge on the tummy.
Spanx are pricy and I found some Hanes body suits in Target for less than 30 each. I got black and flesh.
They hold me in just enough, give me coverage and make my life better.
They have the hook and eye clasps in the crotch, and i often do the pull to the side to pee, so I do not have to unhook and bend too much to refasten.

I also have some of the reinforced tummy panel ones. They are fine in the mornings, but if I start to swell, the waist gets pinchy.

Re: Post op panty

Thanks for the tips, I haven't had any bleeding, so have just been going commando around the house. But the grind is looming for me too, so I need to go looking I guess.

Re: Post op panty

My surgeon ordered cotton undies to help keep the TAH incision dry. The ones that work for me are the full-cut old-fashioned high-waist briefs from Vanity Fair. They are soft and can go in the dryer. They are not sexy, but right now that's the least of my concerns.

Re: Post op panty

I found the boy shorts cut panties with lace on the waist & leg openings from Victoria Secret really comfy. They had them on sale for 5 or $26 a few weeks ago. Now, I'm back into my all lace thongs from V.S. and they work great because the rest below my incisions. Bought "spanx-like" undergarments I really like from a brand, Tummy Yummy at Nordstroms. I liked them because they were mostly cotton & very breathable.only bought two (black & nude) because of the price. Had to go to a "little black dress" event tonight & they REALLY helped.
