It's important to know that hysterectomy is not a cure for endometriosis. Your best chance of success is to have your surgery performed by an Endo Specialist. It sounds like you have already had a long journey! I am sending you my hugs and best wishes that you have a very successful outcome!

Hi all!
I'm having LAVH on Friday 8/21. I have fibroids as well as post ablation syndrome from Novasure about 5 years ago.
I do not have to do the bowel prep for which I am grateful.
I am getting nervous the closer it gets but I'm also looking forward to being out of pain.

Hello Sisters

Good luck to each and everyone of you on your journey to better health. I'm scheduled for a LAVH on 8/19 and feel much better after reading through this forum. I've been living with heavy bleeding and pain for 2-3 weeks a month for the past two years. I'm looking forward to a pain free living!

Twelve hours until I'm getting ready to leave for the hospital and I'm just nervous about everything still being on track for tomorrow and that I wake up without complications. Please send any positive vibes my way as I really feel I need them. I've also started cramping badly again the past few days and started bleeding again today (not even close to my period time) this needs to happen, tomorrow.

We are so glad that you found us. Take a deep breath . . . you can do this. Your surgery will be here before you know it. Your feelings are very normal. Try to keep your mind occupied with those things that will help with your recovery . . . freezing meals, last minute cleaning, and getting your recovery space ready. Do something special to help you relax . . . go to a move, have a massage, with friends, go out for . . . something special to pamper the princess.
