TAH First post op surgeon visit! Help?

I just found out my appt to see the doctor that performed my surgery on Feb 21 has moved my first follow up appt to tomorrow. I tried to ask the office what to expect for this visit and got no where 😞Just wondering if my staples will be removed and if there is an internal exam as well. I can barely get around the house so this surprise updated dr visit should be fun. Not. Thanks in advance for any input as to what I might expect

usually it is staples out. Internal exam is not until 5 or 6 weeks. Oh yea. the real hard part. He asks you how you are doing? lol.

He won't take a look in unless there is something wrong. And this is a wellness visit.

My first postop (2 weeks) all my dr did was look at the incisions and answer questions and explain a few things. No internal exam at all. Just breathe, you will be fine.

Thank you sisters for your support. My poor husband returned to work today not to find out the dr changed the appointment. Oh well. Ill try to suck it up as part of the fun recovery process

You'll Do great!! I have my 5 week checkup tomorrow. So we both can share some nerves. lol

I had a post op appt at 2 weeks and again today at 4 weeks. He did an internal exam at both. I was also very anxious about that. But the good news is it did not hurt. And today's 4 week exam was a little more extensive internally but it also did not hurt. I am much less nervous about going in now. Hope that helps.

Again thank you all for the Heads Up about my upcoming visit as I am a nervous wreck. I'm still recovering from all the poking and prodding in the hospital. I'm too old too be such a weenie so ill try to behave myself lol😹
