Day 7 Post hysterectomy nauseous

I am now into my 7 day post op, from my hysterectomy. I am really doing well, out of hospital on the 5th day, but one thing I have is that I feel constantly nauseous, anyone know why and what to do about it. I had a complete hys, everything removed including ovaries.

Are you taking pain meds? I was told to make sure to take mine with some crackers or toast. Hope it gets better for you!! Hugs!

No, I am off all pain meds for 2 days now.

I was nauseous until about day 10. Hang in there and try to eat small meals. It will get better. I sipped ginger ale, ate crackers and chewed peppermint gum.

Thanks for getting back to me was wondering if it had to do with no more ovaries it feels the same like morning sickness. I will keep going and hopefully it will go away. Has anyone had this and then HRT help it.

I am only 4 days post op and I am having a lot of the same pain. I am also taking colace and tonight finally had my first bowel movement it wasn't real painful I guess the colace is helping but the gas pain is constant I guess that takes time to get out of your system. Hope you feel better soon

Today is day 11 for me and it was the first day I wasn't nauseous. Hang in there. It will pass. Try to eat simple foods. Not sure if it's meds or hormones but very common.

It was exactly like morning sickness. Hoping it goes away for you!
