dVH/RALH kept right ovary but cannot stop sweating- why?!

Day 4 post op and I have spent the day on the couch, relaxing and been pain free (let's hope that keeps up!) however I cannot stop sweating. My a/c in on 73* and I am hydrated. Is this a normal post-op side effect? Please help! I am now sitting on towels, since I literally soaked my couch before realizing what was happening.....

Sounds pretty normal. Your remaining ovary can "go to sleep" from the trauma of surgery. Ovaries usually come back online after a few weeks of healing.

Sounds like it's time to bust out the popsicles.

Yeah i kept both and having hot flashes. My doctor said they kind of go through a state of shock, they will come back to life. hope you are healing well.

I have the same thing. I had my surgery 13 days ago. I went to the Dr. yesterday and she said it is no big deal. She said with the anesthesia, pain medications and ovary shock you will get hot flashes and sweat a ton. She said it would go away by the 6 week mark and if it didn't she would test my hormone levels.
I keep drinking tons of water and eating sugar free Popsicle. Here is hoping to goes away and we fell better soon.
