Hair loss

I'm experiencing hair loss. My surgery date is for January 17. Has anyone else experienced this. Do you think it is hormones or nerves. My hormones are real messed up. I still produce breast milk and my son is 4 years old. I only breast feed him for 6 weeks. I lactated even before I became pregnat with him. I have cysts on my ovaries. I will be having a TAH removing ovaries and a bladder repair. I also think my uterus has grow very rapidly this month. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hair loss

Not sure if this will help you much but I also have had hair loss. For the past two years around the same time each year I have trouble with hair loss. It was always in the early fall and my hormones seemed to always be at their worse. This would last for a few weeks and the next thing I knew it was over with. Stress can also cause hair loss. My hair stylist has beautiful blonde hair and about 3 years ago she went almost bald. The doctors told her it was from stress and if she could just relieve some of it her hair should come back. I thought she was fighting a lost battle but sure enough in about 6 months or so her hair started coming back in and she now has her beautiful hair again.
Just hang in there you are going through alot right now and it is most likely hormone, stress, or maybe both. Ask your doctor maybe he/she can help you out on this one.
God Bless and have a Merry Holiday Season.

Hair loss

Hi There!
I've had hair loss too. For the past year and especially since I've started and completed my Lupron in preparation for my January 22nd date. I always had long thick coarse hair. I think it has a lot to due with stress and hormones. I was thinking of cutting it and starting over, but it was so thin I thought it would look stupd. Not to be an "ad" but I've found that Aveeda products work wonders for me. My hair is still thin (looks like a cow licked one side and I've had to change my part!) but now it's shiny and not "crispy". One plus - I remember after my first surgery my hair grew in very thick and unmanageable. I'm hoping it will happen again and I'll have my "hippie/earth mother" hair back!

The countdown begins! Positive thoughts for all of us January sisters and prayers for a speedy recovery!
