Yeay, it is over.
Met with my Doctor....when they announced to the PACKED waiting room that she was running two hours late a collective groan went up. So I think some women switched to other doctors and I got in almost on time. Checked the heart and lungs, no problems.
My husband asked all his questions and although we felt that she wanted to get caught up but we got them all answered. She laughed out loud when she warned my husband about 6 weeks and sex and he said proudly "you know all those things that husbands do that come with a warning of no sex for a week if he does them? Well I saved up my best 6-8 and plan on doing each and every one of them...she can't cut me off if you did first, right?".
The goods....just bloodwork at the hospital and no bowel prep. The doctor doesn't do packing, just a pad so no painful removal. She generally does the surgery in around 30 minutes or so. No preop ekg or xray, yeay.
The hmmms.....she doesn't use another Dr from her practice to operate but uses a male surgical assistant who used to be a doctor in the Czec Republic but can't get licensed here without going back to medical school. I am finicky but it almost seems a little Wal Mart'ish to me. But she's been operating with him for years and she's the best so he must be good.
The bads.....I lost all hope of an all female OR. This man will end up with hands on knowledge of my goods. Oh well.
I am a little peeved that I have to wear this stupid bracelet for 4 days or else I might have my surgery delayed or canceled....really?
We both feel better about this.
