Bored

Really feel good after a month but I am bored. I have been cleared for swimming and can drive but lets face it how much time can you spend in the pool and how many books can you read. All friends and family are working and as much as I have enjoyed not working in this 95+ weather I am getting ready to return.

I went in for my post-op appt on a Tuesday four weeks less a day after I'd had my hysterectomy and asked my gyn onc for clearance to return to work. He said, "Do you mean on Monday?"

Me: "Uh, no, I was thinking tomorrow would be good!"

When my gyn onc laughed and said that most people enjoyed having the full six weeks off, I told him the truth: I was getting bored at home! He cleared me for everything except lifting heavy boxes. I was back at work the next day.

Unfortunetly since I work on a assembly line that requires heavy lifting I am off for 8 weeks minimum. Not to mention the heat. 97 degrees here today and no air at work. Yea, think I won't complain anymore but just enjoy my time!
